We remind you that the implementation of the RP-C21-r44 reform of the PRR includes the creation and operation of 50 physical Citizen Energy Spaces (Espaços Energia) by the end of the first quarter of 2025. The goal is for these spaces to endure over time and serve as the first line of support for citizens, in alignment with the timeline of the National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC 2030).
Energy Spaces consist of physical service desks, functioning in a network, that provide services to support citizens in preparing and implementing energy efficiency measures and renewable energy, as well as services to promote sustainable energy usage behaviors through greater energy literacy:
- Providing information and technical support, from interpreting energy bills to sustainable energy use and consumer rights;
- Advice on energy acquisition, equipment purchase, selection of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, and commercial proposals for implementing solutions;
- Energy assessment of homes and investment proposals aimed at increasing thermal comfort and reducing energy bills;
- Advice on accessing public and private financial incentives and instruments, both national and local.
There are already 17 Energy Spaces in operation across the country, and their locations can be found on the initiative’s website, where it is also possible to search for the nearest service desk and schedule an appointment.
