On February 25 and 26, Filipa Grilo, Senior Researcher at IN+ and Cidades pelo Clima, participated in the international workshop “Exploring Future Research Horizon – A Foresight Workshop on Nature-based Solutions and Transformative Change”, held in Oslo, Norway.

This event, organized by the European Biodiversity Partnership (Biodiversa+), in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP-WCMC) and supported by The Research Council of Norway, brought together experts from various fields to explore the future of research and innovation at the intersection of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and transformative change.

Over the two days of discussions, participants explored emerging trends, challenges, and uncertainties shaping Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and transformative change. Research and innovation needs were identified and prioritized, with a focus on future visions and pathways.

The event highlighted the crucial role of NBS as catalysts in addressing the climate crisis and biodiversity loss, emphasizing the need to deepen our understanding of their transformative potential. The participation of IN+ and Cidades pelo Clima in this workshop reinforces our commitment to advancing research and the implementation of NBS as essential tools for building more resilient and sustainable cities.
